If not the learning curve is trully a barrier to getting started with this software. I put that I would not recommend this to a friend because you really have to know the product in order to use it out of the box. Once done I'm sure it will be a useful tool. We are in the process of calling Quicken Tech support to help us solve the problems we are having with the functionality and understanding of the package. Quicken for MAC IS DIFFERENT!!!! Has DIFFERENT SCREENS, and DIFFERENT controls, so (ARE YOU LISTENING PUBLISHERS) a Quicken Help book for WINDOWS IN NO WAY helps you learn or set up Quicken for MAC. The one or two that do appear in the searches are recycled help books for Quicken for Windows wth a different cover. There are NO BOOKS out there for Quicken For Mac. The other MAJOR ISSUE I have is not so much with the manufacturer as it is with the publishers and Amazon search and google search engines. There is no correlation with this type of budgeting.
